MUC6446: Composition of Electroacoustic Music/Digital 2
MAX Assignment No. 6

The objective of this assignment is thus.

    1) To develop a patcher that will track either the activity of a live acoustic source through the use of fiddle~ (pitch) and/or bonk~ (amplitude). Both of these objects are non-standard objects.

The patcher should be able to:
      • using fiddle~ in collaboration with score following (remember, from the Max course (MUC 4401/6444), change live processing through the triggering of qlist (now available on the PC platform).
      • using bonk~ to identify "small" percussion instruments and, perhaps in collaboration with thresh, change live processing (with or without qlist).

Though you should no longer need a shopping list, here are a few new Max/Msp objects with which you should be familiar (but, as is always true in "Max-land" there are numerous other ways).

      fiddle~
      bonk~
      thresh~

BONUS: Compose a short musical example showing the possibilities of your patcher.
