A truly interdisciplinary research project, the MIDI Movement Module was nominated by the editors of Discover magizine for their 1998 Award for Technological Achievement. Initiated in 1993 through personal funding of the researchers, M3 will begin new testing this coming year.

M.A.C.E. - Martial Arts Combat Environment (M. Shahboz and Josh Fryman)

This intermedia research project was premiered at the Seventh Annual Florida Electroacoustic Music Festival in the work "Monkey and the Snake." M.A.C.E. is a wireless alternate MIDI controller used in the multimedia control of an electroacoustic sound environment via martial arts motion capture.
